In many countries, families struggle with basic nutrition where maintaining a garden or small farm is impossible because of poor soil, or limited availability of water and nutrients.

Traditional hydroponic systems often won’t work because of the pricetag, or they require expertise to operate, and electricity isn’t available everywhere.

It is also nearly impossible to provide people in the neediest communities with quality solutions due to the challenges of getting systems to them. Many goods are stolen before ever reaching their intended destination.

In worst cases, girls and women are forced to sell their bodies to put food on the table for themselves and their families.
